So, as you know (if you have read some of my blogs before) I love to cook. I have posted a few recipes before (the links will be down below) and I have another one for you guys today! Like most of my recipes I improvised on this one because we basically had nothing in my fridge, but sometimes the best meals come out of this. Honestly, I really enjoyed this one and have been making it a lot lately. My recipe today is my pasta with spinach and mozzarella. It’s easy to make and is good for a quick lunch or you could even serve it at a dinner party. Now let’s get started!
As I said before small disclaimer I am an amateur so be kind.
What do you need?
- a jar of tomato sauce
- a tin of peeled canned tomatoes
- Cream or milk
- 2 Tomatoes
- fresh spinach
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 glove of garlic
- Parma ham
Now this is what you do with it:
First things first cut up everything that needs cutting up and just get everything out and ready. This will make it much easier. Once that is done you can put some pasta in some boiling water and let it cook. By the time the pasta is done your sauce will be ready too.
Now to start with you want to heat a pan, put some olive oil in it and then when it’s warm enough you can add the chopped-up onions and garlic. Once they have been in there for a minute or so you want to add the bell pepper and the tomatoes.
Next up we want to add the sauce. Add the tomato sauce and the peeled canned tomatoes in to the mixture. Once you have done that put some milk in the empty sauce jar close the lid and shake it. Add that to the sauce too. Let this cook for a few minutes, once it starts to boil a little you can add the spinach.
Leave this for 5-10 minutes until the spinach is cooked. Once it is you can add the mozzarella in to the pan. Don’t forget to chop it in to small pieces!
Once you have finished all of this you can add your pasta and just mix it a little so all your pasta is covered in sauce.
As finishing touch, I like to add some Parma ham on top of each dish. It makes it look even better and it taste amazing with together!
